There only thing better than a day on the golf course is a day on the golf course to help someone in need. Lynnsey Holland is a victim of breast cancer, so a group known as “Team Lynnsey,” will have a benefit golf scramble at the Little Scioto Golf Course, Saturday, June 29 beginning at 9 a.m. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. until 8:45 a.m., with the fee being $50 per person and $200 per team.
“It would be best if they would pre-register, because we’re only allowed to have so many teams,” Joey Boggs of Team Lynnsey said. “They can contact me at 740-352-8096 or Jimmy Pack at 740-821-3079. They can pay any time they want up to the registration, or pay at the registration.”
Food and drinks are included in the entry fee.
First prize is $600 and second prize is $400. Prizes will also be awarded for the longest drive, the longest putt and closest to the pin.
Holland is currently undergoing treatment and incurs many expenses associated with her treatment
“She’s going through breast cancer, so the money is to defray expenses,” Boggs said.
