NEWS AND NOTES: Saturday’s winter weather storm caused a plethora of cancellations and postponements for games involving area boys and girls basketball teams.

Of the games reported to not take place Saturday, the Adena-Valley girls game is the only one that was cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The Daily Times did learn that Adena will make the trip to Lucasville next season.

At press time, the Daily Times had yet to learn the status of the Paint Valley-Peebles boys contest. The shift in schedules erased any last chances for girls teams to build their tournament resumes with the draw taking place Sunday in Jackson.
