Sally Wolfe, 87, of McDermott, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at SOMC Hospice.
She was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Magoffin Co., Ky, a daughter of the late Kelly and Rainie Arnett Howard.
Sally was a homemaker, a member of the McDermott Freewill Baptist Church, and the oldest living member of the Rush Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Grover Jones, Aug. 24, 1982, and Rufus Wolfe, Dec. 22, 1997; five brothers, Henry, Mitchell, Sam, Harris, and Johnny Howards; three sisters, Queen Smith, Virgie Harness, and Lillie Bayes.
She is survived by one son, Grover “Butch” (Brenda) Jones Jr. of Lucasville; one daughter, Paulette Jones Russell of Newark; five grandchildren, Bridgett (Sean) Robinson, Brittany (Kevin) Murphy, Rob Russell IV, Kristen (Will) Collier, and Grant Russell; four great-grandchildren, Keylee Robinson, Parker Robinson, Mason Murphy, and Palmer Collier; one brother, Jim Howard of West Portsmouth; and two sisters, Lucy Armstrong of Mansfield and Louise Pierce of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at the McDermott Freewill Baptist Church with Mark Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Rushtown Cemetery. Friends may call 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and an hour before the funeral Friday at the church.
