Marcella Rose Oyer


Marcella Rose Oyer, 82, of Waldren Hill Road, Piketon, Ohio, died 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon, Ohio.


She was born February 3, 1931, in Friendship, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leslie Henry Roth and Rose (Hazelbaker) Roth. On December 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Eugene David Oyer, who survives.


Also surviving are a son Thomas David Oyer and wife Delores J. of Piketon, Ohio, two grandchildren, Amanda Rose Davison and husband James of Waverly, Ohio, and Thomas David Oyer II and wife Leslie of Piketon, Ohio, a great-grandson, Colten David Oyer of Piketon, Ohio, and a brother Eugene Douglas Shaw of Florida.


Marcella formerly attended the Dailyville Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker.


Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Pastor Dale Reed officiating. Burial will follow in McKendree Cemetery near Friendship, Ohio.


Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
