Mary Jo Ketter, 86


Mary Jo Ketter, 86, of Sciotoville, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on March 14, 1927 in Sciotoville, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Nora Artis Martin. Mary Jo was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Sciotoville and a homemaker.


Surviving are one son, Stephen Ketter of Sciotoville, one granddaughter, Aimee (Chad) Welch of Sciotoville, two grandsons, Matthew Ketter of Portsmouth and Jeremy (Megan) Ketter of Sciotoville, and four great-grandchildren, Gavin and Gabe Welch and Aubrie and Avery Ketter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Ketter, a daughter-in-law, Sherry Ketter, and two sisters, Rita Mae Davis and Betty Ruth Guy.


A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 1 until 2 p.m. on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church in Sciotoville.
