M. Kathryn Fish, Branch Manager of the Portsmouth (Main Office) branch of American Savings Bank, fsb (ASB) has announced her retirement effective May 31, 2013, according to President, CEO and Chairman of ASB, Robert M. Smith. Fish has served at ASB since October of 1984

.

According to Smith, “Decades of ASB customers and their families have trusted ASB with their finances due to the trust they have in Kathy. We are thrilled that she will be continuing to work one day a week after her retirement. We wish her all the best as she enters retirement.”

During Fish’s tenure the operational aspect of banking has changed with technology, but the fundamentals are the same as when the bank opened in 1892 – to help friends and neighbors with their finances. “We have greatly appreciated Kathy’s efforts over the past 29 years,” said Smith. “She has been a dedicated employee, serving the deposit needs of the community and ensuring excellent banking services.”
