West scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to come from behind and defeat Notre Dame 6-3 Wednesday.


Alex Ridout went 1-for-4 with two runs batted in and Bobbie Jo Howard finished the game going 2-for-3, while scoring two runs.


The Senators’ next scheduled game is Tuesday’s Division III tournament opener against Paint Valley. West has a couple of regular season games to makeup but nothing has been scheduled.

Autumn Griffith hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning to help Clay defeat Boston 16-0 Wednesday in six innings.


Griffith finished the game going 1-for-4 with the aforementioned home run and scoring two runs. Gabby Hickman improved her record to 2-0 with the shutout performance. The Panthers travel Thursday to Symmes Valley.

Corey Bradley’s game-winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh inning sent the Valley faithful home happy with a 3-2 nonconference win over Jackson.

Will Howard struck out six and walked two for the win while also going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI at the plate. The Indians travel Thursday to Northwest.
