Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said that two West Portsmouth brothers Bobby and James Stone of 1336 Seventh Street were arrested Friday for the April 9 robbery of the Superquick in West Portsmouth.

Sheriff Donini said that on April 9 a male subject entered the Superquick at Galena Pike in West Portsmouth, brandished a knife and demanded money. Immediately thereafter both suspects fled the area.

Throughout the investigation detectives and the Washington Township Community Policing Deputy Andy Drake developed leads in the case which led to the Stone brothers.

Both brothers were indicted by the Scioto County Grand Jury for one count of aggravated robbery and two counts of tampering with evidence. Both subjects are being held without bond pending a future hearing in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.

Sheriff Donini credits the apprehension to the Washington Twp. Community Policing Deputies and Detective units.

Anyone with any information concerning this case is being requested to contact Detective Dan Malone at 351-1099. All calls will remain anonymous.
