WHEELERSBURG — Wednesday kicks off Porter Township Spring Clean-Up days, giving residents of the township an opportunity to clean up their homes and neighborhoods in preparation of spring.

Residents may dispose of unwanted items and debris beginning today (April 24) through Saturday (April 27), between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. at dumpsters found at the Porter Township Service Department, located at 8809 Green St. in Wheelersburg.

According to the township website (www.portertwp.com), the dumpsters will be inside a fenced area and access will only be given to Porter Township residents. Drivers’ licenses will be checked. All debris must be placed in the dumpsters and not beside them. Hazardous materials — such as paint, oil, asbestos, refrigerators, freezers, etc. — will not be accepted. Tires will be accepted.

The Porter Township Trustees were not available on Tuesday to discuss further details. For more information, contact the Trustees office at 740-574-4245.
