The Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 says a slip repair project continues on Ohio 139 in Portsmouth. Crews are repairing a slip at the 1.20-mile marker, between Munn Street and Township Road 165 (Hinkley Hollow Road), just south of the corporation limit. ODOT said throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one, 9-foot lane with temporary traffic signals. The project is anticipated to be completed in early summer 2013.

U.S. 52 is reduced to one, 11-foot lane in each direction between Township Road 569 (Old U.S. 52) near the Ohio 239 interchange and the Scioto River bridges at the Portsmouth corporation limit for a major rehabilitation project. The project work limits also include portions of Ohio 73, Ohio 239 and Ohio 852. ODOT said throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one, 11-foot lane in each direction, and ramps will be reduced to 10-foot lanes. The project is anticipated to be completed in early fall 2014.

ODOT said a raised pavement marker project is under way, and crews will be replacing RPMs on the state highway system at various locations in the district. Traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers and/or arrow boards when crews are at work. The project is anticipated to be completed by late spring.

Weather permitting, a district-wide herbicidal spraying project is slated to begin the week of April 15, with crews working along various routes throughout the district. Traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of arrow boards and/or flaggers when crews are at work. The project is anticipated to be completed by late spring.

A district-wide guardrail repair project is also slated to begin the week of April 22, with crews replacing guardrail along various routes throughout the district as weather permits. Traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of signals and/or flaggers when crews are at work. The project is anticipated to be completed by late summer.
