Hobert Shepherd, 84


Hobert H. Shepherd, 84, of South Shore, Ky., went to be with his Lord Feb. 12, 2013, at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio. He was born June 28, 1928, a son of the late Jake Shepherd and Lori Boggs Shepherd. He was a retired truck driver for Hamilton Tanks in Columbus, Ohio.


He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Shepherd in 2006, five brothers, and six sisters.


Surviving are four sons Ronald “Melody” Shepherd of Portsmouth, Ohio, Donald “Anita” Shepherd of Pataskala, Ohio, William Shepherd of Pataskala, Ohio, and Jessie Shepherd of Portsmouth Ohio, four daughters Debbie “Robert” Roach of Pataskala, Ohio, Dorothy Shepherd of Pataskala, Ohio, Wanda Gruber of Newark, Ohio, and Ella Cox of Portsmouth, Ohio. He had several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hobert was a Loving father and grandfather he is gone but not forgotten.


Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with Rev. Norman Potter officiating. Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Ky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
