A month after it was originally scheduled, the Minford girls claimed the 2012-2013 New Boston Holiday Tournament with a 92-33 win over Ashland (Ky.) Rose Hill Christian.


With 10 players cracking the scoring column, Kylie Berry led the Falcons with 18 points. Kelsey Conkey, Brooklyn Yeley and Abby Fuhrmann each had 14 and Rachel Parker added 11 in the win.


Minford will welcome Alexander Monday.

Ashlee Lawhorn had 17 points while Kalen Jenkins recorded a double-double as visiting Piketon defeated Chillicothe 45-33 in SVC play.

Jenkins finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds while Aleah Pelphrey grabbed 12 rebounds. The Redstreaks travel to Unioto Thursday.
