East traveled to West Union Wednesday evening and came home winners in a 56-44 contest.


Mercedes Tackett had 18 points to lead the Lady Tartans while teammate Tiffany Craft had added 14 points.


Maddy Lindamood also chipped in with eight points for East.


Natasha Barr had a big evening for West Union pouring in 22 in the losing effort.


East moves to 6-10 on the season and will host Eastern Thursday night.

Portsmouth hosted Peebles Wednesday evening and the visitors went home happy with a 47-44 result.


Portsmouth’s Peighton Williams was the leading scorer in the game with 23 points while teammate Jada Jenkins had nine points in support.


Portsmouth moved to 5-12 and will travel to Chillicothe Saturday.
