Keith Nickells, 55


Keith B. Nickells, 55, of Sciotoville died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Aug. 9, 1957, in Scioto County, a son of the late Frank and Doris Burton Nickells. He retired from the United States Navy after 30 years of service as a Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Destructive Tester.


Upon retirement he enjoyed spending all of his time with his wife and children. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Keith is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Cole Nickells; two sons, David and Jonathan; four daughters, Mysti (Carl) Stiltner of Portsmouth, Ami (Todd) Weiler of New Boston, Amanda (Jason) Guilkey of Portsmouth and Roxanne; grandchildren, David Stiltner, Cain, Riley and Jacob Weiler and Gabrielle and Sarah Gill.


He was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Davidson. Services will be noon Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Chad Garinger officiating. Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE with military graveside honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday 11 to noon at D.W.
