Lillie Murphy Brown, 80


Lillie Murphy Brown, 80, of South Shore, Ky., passed from this world, Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the residence of her daughter. She was born in West Virginia a daughter of the late Elliott Murphy and Rosa Hinkle Murphy.


She was a retired employee of the former U.S. Shoe Factory at Vanceburg, Ky. and of the Baptist faith.


Preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Brown, July 18, 2011, two sons, Paul Fred Brown and David Eugene Brown, three brothers, Elliott, Tom and Robert Murphy, four sisters, Mary Ann Hieneman, Madeline White, Nina Mae Duncan and Ruth Murphy.


Surviving are one son, Wesley Brown of St. Paul, Ky. and two daughters, Barbara Mangus of South Shore, Ky. and Ruth Ann Yates of Rush, Ky., 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder, Ezra Burton, officiating.


Burial in Brown cemetery, Beauty Ridge, South Shore, Ky.


Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.
