Patricia Ann Byus Thomas, 54, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born on February 11, 1958, in Point Pleasant, the daughter of Cecil “Preacher” and Lena Byus. She was employed at Holzer Clinic for 28 years, and a member of the Point Pleasant Seventh Day Adventist Church.


She was preceded in death besides her parents, by a brother, Allen, and a nephew, Stevie Jo.


Patty is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Ricky E. Thomas of Point Pleasant; two brothers, Don (Debbie) Byus of Point Pleasant, and Andy (Dottie) Byus of Gallipolis, Ohio; two sisters, Juanita Beck of Annapolis, Md., and Donna (Bob) Kay of New Haven. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.


We can promise you that if you only had one encounter with her, she left an unforgettable impression. We will all miss her greatly and she will forever be in our hearts.


A memorial service was held on at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
