Alvis Spry Harr, 85


Alvis Spry Harr, 85, of West Portsmouth, Ohio went to be with our Lord, Oct. 11, 2012 in SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born at Load, Kentucky, a son of the late Ted Harr and Estella Spry Harr.


He was a retired construction roofer and a member of the Smith Branch Church of God in Greenup, Kentucky.


Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Harr, three daughters, Keneda K. Bradley Bentley of Minford, Ohio, Diann Morgan of West Portsmouth, Ohio, Iva “Frank” Sanford of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, five sons Carlos “Rosie” Harr of West Portsmouth, Standley “Linda” Harr of Turtle Lake North Dakota, Estel Harr in West Portsmouth, Ohio and Slade “Teresa” Harr of Columbus, Ohio and Justin Harr of Washington Court House, Ohio, he also leaves four step children, Roxann, Marie, Kenny and Rick, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He will be missed very much.


Preceded in death by his wife, Norma Lee Harr, Jan. 30, 1970, one daughter, Rosella Gallimore, two brothers, Teddy Harr and Enoch Harr, two sisters, Louella Sexton and Elizabeth Brown.


Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in South Shore, Kentucky with brother Scott Robinson officiating.


Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at Roberson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky.
