BELPRE, Ohio — The South Gallia volleyball team defeated Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division opponent Belpre in three games Wednesday night in Washington County.


The Lady Rebels (5-2, 2-1 TVC Hocking) topped Belpre (2-4, 1-3) 25-18 in the first game, and 25-12 in the final two games.


Brynn Adams led the Lady Rebels with 19 points, followed by Sara Bailey with 18 points. Ellie Bostic had five points, Shelby Sanders had four points, Bailie Corbin had three points, and Meghan Cawdwell finished with one point to round out the SGHS scoring.


Caldwell led the net attack for South Gallia with seven kills, followed by Adams with four. Bostic and Corbin each had two kills and Sanders rounded out the SGHS net attack with one kill. Caldwell had three blocks and Bostic had one, while Bailey led SGHS with five aces, followed by Adams with two.
