On Saturday night, Ali Shuff of South Webster High School was crowned Miss River Days. Molly Crandall representing Valley High School was crowned first runner-up and Lauren Reiser of West High School was crowned second runner-up.

“It’s been an awesome experience so far. I am a cheerleader, I play softball and I am involved with the musicals at South Webster,” Shuff said.

Crandall is a Senior at Valley High School and is the daughter of Gary and Donna Crandall. After high school, Crandall plans on attending Marshall University and major in early childhood education.

Putting the crown on just makes me happy,” Crandall said. “I felt like over this next year me Ali and Lauren will get a lot closer. We got close over the summer, but I feel like we will become more like a family over this next year. In the process we will tell other people how great Scioto County is.”

All of the contestants spent time together since the end of February. With the community service, the fundraising practices, dance practices and various other things it’s a very long process for these girls.”
